Why it's worth switching
Every other retailer charges 29.80¢. PacificLight charges 27.50¢.
Singapore's retailers have converged on an identical 24-month price. PacificLight is the one that hasn't moved. Here's what that difference looks like on a real bill.
Monthly cost for a 4-room HDB flat using 388.5 kWh — Singapore's average. Staying with PacificLight instead of a 29.80¢ rival saves roughly $107 a year; instead of the SP tariff, about $339 a year. Your own saving scales with your usage.
All rates on this page include 9% GST. This is the single most common way these comparisons go wrong: retailers quote their plans after GST, but SP announces the regulated tariff before GST. Compare an after-GST retailer rate against a before-GST tariff and you'll overstate your saving by 9%.
Where PacificLight is not the cheapest
On 12-month contracts PacificLight charges 31.00¢ — exactly the same as Geneco, Sembcorp, Senoko and Tuas. There's no rate advantage at that term, and no referral reward either. The case for PacificLight is specifically the 24 and 36-month plans.

The referral only works on long contracts
The S$20 applies only if you sign up online on a 24, 36 or 60-month plan. Choose a 12-month or no-contract plan, or sign up over the phone, and the code is silently ignored — and it can't be added afterwards.
| Who | Reward | Paid out |
|---|---|---|
| You, as the new customer | S$20 | Within 90 days of transfer |
| Whoever referred you | S$30 | Within 90 days of transfer |
Credits offset electricity charges only — not cash, not transferable, and can't be stacked with another promo code. Unused credit is forfeited if you terminate the contract early.
Four steps
How to use the code
- Copy UUXEBM4TID
Do this first — the referral field appears late in the form and there's no going back to add it.
- Pick a 24, 36 or 60-month plan
This single choice decides whether your S$20 happens at all.
- Paste the code into "Referral Code" at checkout
No field showing? You've selected a plan that isn't eligible.
- Finish the account transfer
PacificLight handles the switch from SP. The credit lands within 90 days — often on your second or third bill, not the first.
Choosing
Which PacificLight plan to pick
Only the long contracts earn the referral, so realistically it's a choice between the top four rows.
| Plan | Rate | Term | Referral |
|---|---|---|---|
| Savvy Saver 36 | 27.18¢ | 36 mth | Cheapest |
| Savvy Saver 24 | 27.50¢ | 24 mth | Eligible |
| Stack It Up 24 tiered | from 26.30¢ | 24 mth | Eligible |
| Classic 60 | 8% off tariff | 60 mth | Eligible |
| Savvy Saver 12 | 31.00¢ | 12 mth | No reward |
| Sunny Side-Up 12 green | 31.50¢ | 12 mth | No reward |
| Easy Peasy | 26.00¢ | No contract | No reward |
| Easy Save | 18% off tariff | No contract | No reward |
The honest trade-off
Easy Peasy at 26.00¢ is cheaper per kWh than any fixed plan and has no lock-in — but it's a floating rate that can be revised, and it earns no referral credit. Savvy Saver 36 locks 27.18¢ for three years, which is the best fixed rate in the market, but early termination charges apply. If you might move house soon, S$20 is not a reason to sign a three-year contract. If you were taking a long fixed plan anyway, use the code — it's free money.
The whole market
Every 24-month plan in Singapore, ranked
| Retailer | Plan | Rate | vs SP tariff |
|---|---|---|---|
| PacificLight | Savvy Saver 24 | 27.50¢ | −20.9% |
| Geneco | Get It Fixed 24 | 29.80¢ | −14.3% |
| Keppel Electric | FIXED24 | 29.80¢ | −14.3% |
| Sembcorp Power | 24M Fixed Price | 29.80¢ | −14.3% |
| Senoko Energy | LifePower24 | 29.80¢ | −14.3% |
| Tuas Power | PowerFix 24 | 29.80¢ | −14.3% |
| Senoko Energy | LifeGreen24 RECs | 30.18¢ | −13.2% |
| Senoko Energy | LifeSteady24 | 33.14¢ | −4.7% |
Rivals attach larger sign-up rebates — Geneco up to $255, Senoko up to $228 — which can beat PacificLight's rebate in year one. Over a full 24-month term the 2.30¢ rate gap is worth about $214, so it usually wins anyway. Worth doing the arithmetic on your own usage if you're borderline.
Questions
Frequently asked
Does this PacificLight referral code still work?
Yes, as at 21 August 2026. PacificLight referral codes don't expire — they're tied to an active customer account rather than a campaign end date. If a code gets rejected it's almost always because the chosen plan isn't eligible, not because the code is dead.
How much is the PacificLight referral reward?
S$20 off your bill as the new customer, and S$30 for whoever referred you. Both are bill credits applied within 90 days of a successful sign-up and account transfer.
Where do I enter the referral code?
In the "Referral Code" field on PacificLight's online sign-up form, during checkout. It can't be added after your account is created, and customer service can't apply it retroactively.
Which plans are eligible for the referral code?
Only online sign-ups on 24, 36 or 60-month residential plans. Twelve-month plans, no-contract plans, and sign-ups made by phone or in person don't qualify.
Is PacificLight actually the cheapest electricity retailer in Singapore?
On fixed-rate contracts, yes as at August 2026. Savvy Saver 24 at 27.50¢/kWh is the cheapest 24-month plan in the market — every other retailer sits at 29.80¢ — and Savvy Saver 36 at 27.18¢ is the cheapest long contract, against 29.40¢ at Senoko and Tuas. On 12-month plans PacificLight matches its rivals at 31.00¢ with no advantage. Rates change several times a year, so check the date on this page.
Can I use a referral code if I'm recontracting with PacificLight?
No. The referral programme is for new customers transferring their account across. Existing customers recontracting should look at PacificLight's recontract promotions instead.
Can I combine the referral code with another promo code?
No — the referral reward can't be stacked with other offers. Compare them and use whichever is worth more. A bundled sign-up promotion is sometimes larger than S$20.
When will the S$20 appear on my bill?
Within 90 days of a successful sign-up and account transfer. It commonly skips the first bill and lands on the second or third.
What happens to the credit if I terminate early?
Any unused or excess referral credit is forfeited on early termination of supply, and your plan's early termination charges still apply on top.
