Why it's worth switching
PacificLight cut to 28.90¢ while Tuas went up.
SP’s regulated tariff fell 10.4% on 1 October, and PacificLight followed it down on 8 October — 28.90¢ on 36 months, 29.00¢ on 24. Senoko and Geneco sit at the same levels; Tuas moved the other way, to 30.63¢ and 30.90¢.
Monthly cost for a 4-room HDB flat using 388.5 kWh — Singapore's average. Taking the 28.90¢ 36-month plan over the 29.00¢ 24-month one saves about $5 a year, so the term matters more than the rate. Either beats the SP tariff by roughly $105 a year — a smaller gap than it was, because the regulated tariff fell 10.4% on 1 October. Your own figures scale with your usage.
All rates on this page include 9% GST. This is the single most common way these comparisons go wrong: retailers quote their plans after GST, but SP announces the regulated tariff before GST. Compare an after-GST retailer rate against a before-GST tariff and you'll overstate your saving by 9%.
Where PacificLight has a rate advantage
Against Tuas, clearly: 1.73¢ on 36 months and 1.90¢ on 24, worth roughly $242 over a three-year contract at average usage. Against Senoko and Geneco, none — they cut to the same 28.90¢ and 29.00¢. Keppel and Sembcorp do not publish a residential rate publicly, so this page does not claim to cover them. Treat PacificLight as level with the market leaders rather than uniquely cheapest, and let the sign-up rebate and the referral credit decide.

The referral only works on long contracts
The S$20 applies only if you sign up online on a 24, 36 or 60-month plan. Choose a 12-month or no-contract plan, or sign up over the phone, and the code is silently ignored — and it can't be added afterwards.

The honest trade-off
Easy Peasy looks cheapest at 27.00¢ until you notice the 55¢ daily charge. On 388.5 kWh that adds $16.50 a month — an effective 31.25¢/kWh, which is now dearer than the regulated tariff itself, let alone every fixed plan here. The same trap applies to Easy Save and, more steeply, to 9 to 9 at $1.01 a day. Savvy Saver 36 at 28.90¢ is the cheapest realistic option, but it locks you in for three years with early termination charges of $160–$2,000. If you might move house soon, S$20 is not a reason to sign a three-year contract. If you were taking a long fixed plan anyway, use the code — it's free money.

Three retailers are level at 29.00¢, so between those three the sign-up rebate is the whole difference. PacificLight's own 36-month factsheet advertises up to $250 with codes such as ATE36 or KFLYER36; Geneco advertises up to $255, Senoko up to $228, and Tuas $160 plus 12 months of free insurance — but Tuas now starts 1.90¢ behind on rate, which costs far more over a contract than its rebate returns. Every rebate carries conditions and is usually clawed back if you leave early, so read what you have to do to keep one.

Does this PacificLight referral code still work?
Yes, as at 13 October 2026. PacificLight referral codes don't expire — they're tied to an active customer account rather than a campaign end date. If a code gets rejected it's almost always because the chosen plan isn't eligible, not because the code is dead.
How much is the PacificLight referral reward?
S$20 off your bill as the new customer, and S$30 for whoever referred you. Both are bill credits applied within 90 days of a successful sign-up and account transfer.
Where do I enter the referral code?
In the "Referral Code" field on PacificLight's online sign-up form, during checkout. It can't be added after your account is created, and customer service can't apply it retroactively.
Is Pacific Light the same as PacificLight?
Yes — one company, two spellings. The retailer styles its own name as one word, PacificLight, but most people type it as two, Pacific Light, and both turn up the same electricity retailer: PacificLight Energy Pte Ltd, which has supplied Singapore's Open Electricity Market since 2018. The referral code UUXEBM4TID works regardless of how you found the page.
Worth knowing it is not connected to similarly-named businesses outside Singapore's electricity market.
Which plans are eligible for the referral code?
Only online sign-ups on 24, 36 or 60-month residential plans. Twelve-month plans, no-contract plans, and sign-ups made by phone or in person don't qualify.
Is PacificLight actually the cheapest electricity retailer in Singapore?
It is among the cheapest, but not alone. After SP's regulated tariff fell 10.4% on 1 October, PacificLight cut to 29.00¢ on 24 months and 28.90¢ on 36 — matched by Senoko on both and by Geneco on 24. Tuas moved the other way, to 30.90¢ and 30.63¢, so PacificLight beats Tuas by about 1.7¢ but merely ties the other two. Keppel and Sembcorp do not publish a rate publicly. So compare the sign-up rebates and perks between the three that tie — and check the date on this page, because rates move several times a year.
Can I use a referral code if I'm recontracting with PacificLight?
No. The referral programme is for new customers transferring their account across. Existing customers recontracting should look at PacificLight's recontract promotions instead.
Can I combine the referral code with another promo code?
No — the referral reward can't be stacked with other offers. Compare them and use whichever is worth more. A bundled sign-up promotion is sometimes larger than S$20.
When will the S$20 appear on my bill?
Within 90 days of a successful sign-up and account transfer. It commonly skips the first bill and lands on the second or third.
What happens to the credit if I terminate early?
Any unused or excess referral credit is forfeited on early termination of supply, and your plan's early termination charges still apply on top.
